On August 19th 2025, Döhler, a leading global producer of technology-basednatural ingredients and integrated solutions for the food and beverage industry, announced the official inauguration of a green power station powered by Enwise, at its factory in Rizhao, China. This innovative facility is entirely powered by organic waste generated on-site, marking a significant step forward in Döhler's commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship.

The green power station efficiently upcycles 70 tons of daily organicwaste, including sludge from the factory's wastewater treatment plant, as well as rotten fruits and pomace. With Enwise technology, the system converts this waste into 10,000 cubic meters of biogas per day. This biogas is then used to generate steam for the factory's production needs, providing a sustainable energy source and reducing reliance on fossil fuels.

This project is the culmination of a long-standing partnership betweenDöhler and Enwise, which began in 2017 with a pilot program testing the bioenergy potential of spent grains at Döhler's Shanghai factory. The successful implementation of the Rizhao green power station aligns with Döhler's broader sustainability goals, which prioritize the efficient use of energy and water, continuous reduction of waste, and a decrease in greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.

"This green power station is a clear demonstration of Döhlerproactive approach to responsible environmental management," said Stephane Vernede, the CEO of Enwise, "We are dedicated to preventing waste and
minimizing environmental footprint for our customers, and this project brings us closer to our goal of transitioning from fossil fuels to green energy. A big thanks Döhler Rizhao factory team: William Pan, Wuqiang Qin, Kevin Bao, Tao Li, their continuous support was the key to deliver the project smoothly and efficiently. Last but not least, the great work delivered from Enwise team, Stephane Vernede, Zhuoya Li, Vango Gao, Yingting Luo to make the vision to reality.
