ENWISE has received a cash prize of $50,000 from Sinarmas Agribusiness and Food at the Climate Impact Innovations Challenge Grand Final in Indonesia on September 6th 2024.
Climate Impact Innovations Challenge (CIIC) is Indonesia’s largest climate innovations tech competition. Debuted in 2023, CIIC provides a platform for tech innovators to showcase their sustainable innovations in addressing ecological challenges and mitigating the impacts of climate change.
The ClIC 2024 is organized by East Ventures and Temasek Foundation. East Ventures, a pioneering and leading sector-agnostic venture capital firm that has supported over 300 tech companies across Southeast Asia, and Temasek Foundation, a Singapore-based non-profit philanthropic organization that supports sustainable development initiatives, announced the finalists of the Climate Impact Innovations Challenge (CIIC) 2024, Indonesia’s largest climate innovation tech competition. This year, the challenge focuses on finding climate solutions to be implemented in Indonesia based on three tracks: Energy Transition, Sustainable Agriculture, and Circular Economy.
We are incredibly proud to be selected as one of the winners in CIIC 2024. With the waste of a single palm oil mill Enwise can produce enough green natural gas for 100 000 Indonesian families, at the scale of Indonesia this would represent green natural gas for 60 million families and a reduction of 7% of the whole country greenhouse gas emissions.
We will use the fund to optimize Enwise technology for palm oil mill waste and work with Sinarmas to implement a full-scale unit.
We would like to thank Jesslyne Widjaja Executive Director at Sinarmas Agribusiness and Food to have chosen Enwise. It is a huge honor for me and the company.
Last but not least a huge congratulation to all the other winners, your projects are amazing, and I am looking forward seeing their progress in Indonesia.
